Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American sportscaster. She works for ESPN and is a SportsCenter anchor for news. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to converse in two languages helped her get an employment in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. As an assistant producer she was able to be a part of national show producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After 2009, the reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. Her residence was in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer, where she had been offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior in high school but she had a clear idea of the path she was looking for. When she was deciding whether Mount Union is the right choice to her needs, Antonietta visited the university. She discovered that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it offered the major she wanted. After finishing her high school education, she chose to enroll at the university with a major with Media Studies. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was member of the class, established an ongoing relationship with her. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her by his passion for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
