Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021 as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin has a background in the field of space as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's covered space policies under Trump and Biden Administrations for FOX News. Through that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
